This analysis identifies your most valuable donors-those whose annual giving meets or exceeds a defined top-donor threshold in the most recent complete fiscal year-and reveals detailed engagement patterns over time. Drawing from your gift and constituent records, it compiles each donor's giving by fiscal year, calculates consecutive-year giving streaks, and incorporates historical gift frequency, recency, and trends. You'll see at a glance not just who your top givers are, but also how consistently and engaged they have been over consecutive years, when they most often give (by calendar quarter), and whether their support has remained stable, increased, or decreased.
The analysis goes beyond basic totals by showing the length of each donor's current giving streak (consecutive years ending with the last full fiscal year), their longest-ever streak, and whether they have continued their support into the current year. It also provides a Giving Trend Score and Giving Frequency Score to help you quickly spot positive or negative changes in gift amounts and the number of gifts year-over-year. The donor's tenure in your top segment is flagged, classifying them as new, developing, or established, which is crucial for tailoring stewardship. Additional columns, such as average gifts per year, average gift size, and peak giving quarter, are included to help you personalize your approach and time your outreach for maximum impact.
